Casey Hawkins and Chris Carolan toured Marketing Studio, starting from Casey's view that parent-child campaigns are on the horizon. A Houston HUG insight that missed where registrants came from showed why connected context matters, and they ended asking Breeze for a campaign brief in Canvas.

Key takeaways

Parent-child campaigns are on the horizon, Casey says, and they support treating Marketing Studio as one planning and execution space for umbrella strategies, instead of separate campaigns connected only in a spreadsheet.

An insight is only as good as the context it can see: the Houston HUG insight credited LinkedIn alone, while most registrants came from a HubSpot email, which AI and Breeze can't know unless someone tells them.

Connect the dots as records: emails, marketing events and campaigns associated with each other give AI the context. A centralized place for context is step one, and connecting it relationally is the never-ending step two.

Source can be filled in through a conversation: instead of a spreadsheet of source fields, Breeze can ask what the source is for each record, and the data fills in as you answer.

Contacts influenced counts from the date an asset is associated with a campaign, not retroactively, so associating older videos today only counts engagement from now on.

Create UTM tags and tracking URLs inside the campaign so they live in one place, and remember they only tag traffic to pages that carry the HubSpot tracking code.

A page on a website not built in HubSpot can still be added to a campaign: the add-assets list includes external website pages.

Much of a campaign's value sits outside what campaigns can attribute: content project work, relationship building with the people you make content with, and the projects and deals that follow an event.

Breeze in a campaign's Canvas works from the campaigns container, which doesn't include websites and other objects, so a brief can lean on whatever happens to be associated, such as social posts.

Getting Breeze's correction took pushing back, and that is the skill to build: learning how to talk to AI, with humans making sure the context comes correct.

Campaigns have long worked as a folder for emails and social posts, which is why going back to connect them retroactively is hard.

An estimated citation lift is a weaker starting point than asking how to create a valuable campaign.
