Here's our UNBOUND recap, with everyone's single biggest takeaway.
Six of us went to UNBOUND, and we each came home with something different stuck in our heads.
So instead of one big recap, we asked everyone for the one takeaway they couldn't shake. A couple are about what HubSpot actually shipped. More of them ended up being about the people doing the work, which none of us planned.
They don't all agree, either. I'm telling you there are no more excuses not to learn Breeze. Casey's telling you AI took the fun part of her job first. We're both right, and this morning we're hashing it out live!
TODAY Wednesday, Sept 30 · 11am ET / 10am CT
Here are a few of our highlights.
But first…
I need to brag.
Two takes on what shipped
Welcome to the Breeze show. Everyone should be making an effort to learn how to engage Breeze for work spanning across their HubSpot portal. And helping their users do the same. No more excuses. — Chris Carolan, Value First Team | ![]() |
Revenue Hub closes the quote-to-cash gap. Contracts, the billing engine, line items, and CPQ, combined with UI Extensions, replace the workarounds teams have leaned on since they bought HubSpot. — Ryan Ginsberg, Unified Support Solutions | ![]() |
Two takes on how the work is changing
UNBOUND was a great week. I connected with humans, problem solved on the fly, and spent less time with AI than I have in years. Now that I'm home, I've realized the fun part of my work was the puzzles and figuring it out live, and that's the part I let AI take first. Has anyone figured out how to keep the fun parts? I'd really like to know. — Casey Hawkins, CaseyCo Marketing | ![]() |
AI is changing the game... every day. We need to completely rethink how we onboard clients and manage projects in HubSpot over the next 12 months. — Zach Hussion, HUSH RevOps | ![]() |
Two takes on what's still human
AI is showing people that the real work of marketing is human. Everyone is worried about, scared of, excited about, or fully AI-pilled. We’re still early in this realization, but I’m finally hearing people come to the realization that tactics are useless if you don’t care about the people you’re trying to reach. — Joshua Oakes, Who-First | ![]() |
My biggest takeaway wasn't about HubSpot -- it was about the voice that says “Someone's already done it better, so why try?” Jay Schwedelson's answer was consistency: "You will beat out 95% of the people on this planet by not stopping." Cynthia Erivo's was that the thread tying her work together isn't her, it's "an indelible mark on the world that also serves other people." If that's the goal, you're never behind. — Madelyn Donovan, Basis Inbound | ![]() |
That's six takeaways from six people who spent the same three days in the same building. Tomorrow's where we figure out what to actually do with them: what to turn on first, what to wait on, and what to fix in your portal before any of it matters.
Bring the takeaway you came home with, or the one you wish you had. We're taking questions live.
— Chris
