Who is Dan? Check the warning before you change a shared report

Joshua Oakes · Thursday, October 8, 2026

You can easily end up with reports out of sync if somebody saves an update to the filters on one report without paying attention to the warning that it appears on five other dashboards. Madelyn calls it the scary warning. It'll warn you: hey, you're about to change this thing that appears on five dashboards. And frankly, three of them are probably old, with a similar name to the dashboard you're editing, and you're not sure if anybody uses them anymore. The other one you've never heard of. It says Dan's dashboard, and you don't even know who Dan is. Who is the Dan in your portal? Replay clip from Hubsessed Office Hours: Reporting and Dashboards. Madelyn Donovan and I hosted as equals.
