Personas used to live on your forms. What do you do when you've stopped leaning on forms? Casey Hawkins asked me about personas, and I'm still an advocate, if it's done the right way. Here's what changed for me. I don't use forms very much. When I changed my website, I went to a very human first interaction: talk to George, through the meeting widget. I can quickly find out on a call what your persona is or isn't once I'm talking. After the call, it's me or my agent. I tell my agent to look at the transcript, find where we talked about job title and the like, figure out persona and set it in my HubSpot portal. Sometimes I do it by hand. That's one less thing a human has to think about or select on the website. It has proven itself to be a very smart decision for me. I'm also going to make sure personas stay on my downloads and webinars. You get a way to set persona without making anyone fill in a field.
