Hubsessed Office Hours: Unified Revenue View
Manual entry is not the win
Chris Carolan · Friday, October 30, 2026
Ask Breeze to document your data model when you've never touched project or post-sale, and it tries to force it into unstructured places, like properties on deals or the contract. Then somebody manually enters the data on the contract. Ryan's reaction on the session: "Love doing that. Let's do that every year." That does not result in unified revenue views of any kind. It results in people exporting data and building the view somewhere else, in a slide deck or a spreadsheet, because nobody's keeping up. On who should enter it, I would say sales, if sales is responsible for the account management and for knowing when things get delivered, because that's when we get invoiced or when we ask for payment of the invoice. They're calling somebody. If your revenue view lives in a spreadsheet, this clip gives you a test for who should be keeping the data up. Who enters the delivery data at your company today, and do they have a reason to? Replay clip from Hubsessed Office Hours: Unified Revenue View. Ryan Ginsberg and I hosted as equals.
