Your database can't tell a test record from a real person. One of my catchphrases: "math isn't real, it's a language we use to describe reality." The same is true about your data. To HubSpot, someone I typed in as a test and a real person on my target account list who just filled out the inquiry form are both just records. The meaning isn't in the data. As I said in Reporting and Dashboards Office Hours, "everything is how we make use of that language." Before you argue with a dashboard, ask what the records underneath it actually are.
