Hubsessed Office Hours: Reporting and Dashboards
Trust the data, or trust the report
Madelyn Donovan · Wednesday, October 14, 2026
If you want people to act on a report, first work out which they trust: the data or the report. Getting people to see the difference between the data and the reports is a big piece. If they trust one of them, you can usually get your point across. If they don't know which to trust, or trust neither, you won't get anywhere. If they know they can trust the data, they know they just need help making a report, and that's an easy fix with a HubSpot consultant, or by asking Breeze, or however they choose to get support. Then if they don't trust the report, I might take back what I said. If you trust the data you're usually self-aware and will seek out help building the report better. If you don't trust the report, that kind of means there's a flaw in how you're thinking about it, and there's maybe a lot more education that needs to happen. Do your people trust the data, the report, or neither? October sessions are free; all you need is a free Hubsessed subscription. Replay clip from Hubsessed Office Hours: Reporting and Dashboards.
