Next to AI, human collaboration runs in slow motion

George B. Thomas · Friday, October 23, 2026

Why is it easier to get you and your AI agents working together than to get humans working together? What's fun is it's increasingly easier to get AI and your AI agents and yourself to collaborate together than it is to get humans to collaborate together. There's a rate of speed in which you can get to value through that AI and human collaboration that, when you try to do it at a human level, almost feels like time is slowed down. There's this great episode of Stargate where they trap the replicators in time, and they do it. Everything in the real world is going at normal speed, but for the replicators one minute is like 3,000 years. That's the dynamic between a normal day of an AI-assisted human and a normal day of human collaboration. It's a weird dynamic. You get words for the speed gap between working with AI and working with each other. Where does your week feel like the replicators' minute?
